To make or not to make…

I’m in a conundrum.

I started dealing with Christmas presents this past weekend – wrapping gifts and planning out what I still need to shop for.  I had this great plan to make about half my gifts this year. It would have been more, but Continue reading ‘To make or not to make…’

100 Happy Days Redux: Day 99

I’ve been in a crafting mood ever since I started the temperature blanket. Now I’m also crocheting a bunch of baby stuff for all my friends and family that are Continue reading ‘100 Happy Days Redux: Day 99’

100 Happy Days Redux: Day 84

So far so good. It took me a while to decide on a pattern for the temperature blanket. First, had to decide if I would do Continue reading ‘100 Happy Days Redux: Day 84’

Crochet Along Week 19

Hey, I’m actually on time today!  Well, I’m writing this because I’m procrastinating from packing for my teaching trip.  I’m mostly packed, but I’m just not in the mood to finish.  So instead,  let’s talk about how your impossible hexagon turned out:

Crochet Along Week ??

It’s been so long that I don’t quite remember how many weeks it’s been.  It is actually week 18 for anyone who’s keeping track.  It’s crazy how life gets in the way and next thing you know, where did all that time go?  Well, I have been trying to get back into knitting, so that put the project to the side for a bit.  And I got busy making Christmas presents for people so that took up more time.  How many of you have unfinished projects lying all over the place?

So, square #17 was Maggie’s Square, and here’s what I ended up with:

Crochet Along Week 17

Late again.  I was going to try to get back on track last week, but the work trip to Vancouver took a lot more out of me than I thought it would.  I’ve reached the 6 month point with my new job, and while I’ve had some great highs, these past 2 weeks have brought some massive lows.  It would be very easy and tempting to give up; I’m the kind of person that doesn’t forgive myself easily over mistakes.  I think, however, that being in a Dale Carnegie class right now is helping me get through this.  You know what?  This is going to turn into a post of its own.  Let’s get back to crochet for those of you who came by for the new pattern.

How did you do with this past crochet square?

Crochet Along Week 16

So sorry!  I’m a week late with this post.  Last weekend, I was in Calgary spending time with my parents and cousins.  My parents drove out from Regina with a car for me to use for the winter.  Now I won’t freeze my butt off walking home with groceries!  But, it’s the first time I’ve had a car at my disposal so I have to learn all the stuff involved in taking care of a vehicle.

Back to crochet, how did you do with this past crochet square?  Wasn’t it fun?
