100 Happy Days Redux: Day 98

A friend and I were talking about red bean paste the other day, and I asked her if she had ever tried yellow bean paste.  When she said no, I was determined to find some hopia for her to try.  It’s a flaky pastry with a paste filling, usually red bean or yellow mung bean.  While on the search, I found this one that’s filled with ube and langka (purple yam and jackfruit) – two of my favourite things.  I’ve never tried it, so I had to buy this for myself.  It was really delicious.  And yes, my friend liked the mung bean version.
