100 Happy Days Challenge: Day 16

Company’s Coming

I’ve loved baking since I was a kid.  My mom collected the Company’s Coming cookbooks, and I would pore over them to see what I could make.  That bottom right one, Muffins & More, was my favourite.  The one above it, 150 Delicious Squares, was another go to book.

Today, a friend unloaded a bunch of old cookbooks on me, and I was delighted to find a number of Company’s Coming cookbooks.  I’ve been reading through them and reminiscing about baking in my childhood home.  The big yellow tupperware mixing bowl.  The tin can looking flour sifter.  The old pastry cutter.  I don’t bake (nor cook) all that much anymore.  I’m going to find some of my old favourites and make them for old time’s sake 🙂
