Project 365 – Day 238

Hiding (oh, and a request for advice)

Little birdhouse

Look what I found on today’s run.  I think it’s a birdhouse, although it’s awfully low.  I’m 5’1″ and I crouched a little to get this shot.  It’s very cute though.

So, today was Week 3 Session 1 of my running program.  The one I mentioned on Day 216.  But, I need some advice from the runners out there.  Is it normal to be in pain during the first few weeks of running?  At first, it was my breathing that was the issue.  That is getting much better.  I was dealing with some arch pain in my left foot (result of an old injury), so I got proper running shoes.  The last few runs have resulted in major pain in my left heel and up my left calf.  I can’t say that I enjoy running, especially with what I’m dealing with, but I don’t want to give up without giving it a good shot.

I would appreciate any advice that you can give me 🙂
