Project 365 – Day 144

Sinigang for dinner

As a child, I hated fish.  It’s because I can’t stand finding fish bones in my food.  And the favourite Filipino fish, bangus (or milkfish), has lots and lots of bones.  As an adult, I love fish, as long as they’re in fillets that are already deboned.  And I recently learned that you can buy bangus belly without bones!  So this is my first time cooking bangus, and I decided to make it into sinigang.  It’s a tamarind soup base with lots of veggies and the bangus.  It was delicious!
