Project 365 – Day 120

Beef Kaldereta

Kaldereta

Look at that. Two Filipino foods in a row.  Kaldereta is a stew typically made with goat or mutton.  It’s slightly spicy.  It’s definitely good eats.  I’d give you a recipe, but to be honest, I make it with a Mama Sita’s spice mix.  It’s way easier for me, although it makes 10 servings so I’ll be eating this for days.

Check this link out for a pretty standard  recipe:  Beef Kaldereta.

I’ve used Mama Sita’s menudo spice mix with my tilapia to make a fish stew. I throw in zucchini and mushroom. Soooo good!!!

My Dad is highly amused that I use Mama Sita’s mixes. But honestly, I would rather make Kaldereta the easy way instead of mucking around with liver paté and whatnot. LOL!
