04/8/2012 Update: Fergus now has his own blog. Until I can figure out how to link it to this page properly, please check out his adventures at http://fergusphotos.wordpress.com/
I have been thinking for a while now that I should have a photo mascot. A friend of mine has Gnorman Gnome. A fellow optometry clinic’s staff has Garrett the Carrot. A student I taught had one of those wooden artist’s mannequins; I never did found out its name. I think it’s a bit quirky and fun to inject a bit of humour into my photography.
Fergus and I met right in the middle of a continuing education seminar on marketing your practice. I had answered a question, and the speaker gave me this nondescript yellow star. I wasn’t too sure what I was going to do with this star until my co-worker sitting beside me picked up the toy and gave him a face. Lo and behold, Fergus was born! He wears a snazzy pair of glasses and whistles all his troubles away.

He doesn’t look too concerned about the flight. I guess he’s not afraid of flying! (PS. I MUST take Gnorman out more!)
