Day 28: Do you wish for anything at 11:11? If so, what do you wish for?

I knew about wishing on the first evening star and on breaking a wishbone, but I had never heard of wishing at 11:11 until this blog challenge.  When I read it, way back when I found the challenge, I thought to myself that it would be hard to catch the proper time anyway.

Well, what do you know.  Now that I know about it, I notice 11:11 much more often than before.  I’m not going out of my way to watch the clock; it just seems to happen.  Up until now, I had been wishing for a smooth, low-stress move to my new home and new job in Red Deer.  Well, it wasn’t smooth nor low-stress but I made it here regardless.

New home

New workplace

Today, I was observing an on-site training session. I happened to be looking at the computer when the time changed to 11:11. Now granted I was occupied with learning how to do what will eventually be my job, but I’ve spent so much time wishing about the move that I couldn’t think of anything to wish for. Then, thinking about it tonight, I’ve come to the conclusion that since my wish didn’t come true, this whole “wishing at 11:11″ business is a load of crap.

But, I’ll still make wishes on the first evening star :-)
