My friend Jamie is organizing a crochet-along, and I can’t wait to get started. How does it work? Well, I’m so glad you asked! Every Wednesday, Jamie will post a selection of 12″ squares for all the participants to peruse. We vote on our favourite, then on Sunday we find out what the winning square will be. Then we each make our square. There are no rules about colour, so each of us is going to end up with something different. Once done, we send a photo to Jamie of the finished square, and she’ll post them so we can admire each other’s work. In the meantime, because we’re all working from the same pattern, if someone gets stuck we can give each other advice and encouragement.
If you like to crochet (or you’d like to learn how to crochet), this is a fun way to make yourself a pretty afghan. There’s no sign up or anything; just visit Preparing the Crochet-Along and cast your vote for the first square. (Vote for #2. I really like that square
)

Thanks My!
